Watercolored Emotions
I was inspired by food for this art project. When I created this piece I was about 13 weeks pregnant and not a lot of food sounded good to me. I used different techniques to create different textures. For the top left one I just blended watercolors to get the soft pink color to represent fruit juice that I was drinking. The top middle one I used a white crayon to color on texture before painting over it with watercolors. I also blended different colors to get different shades of orange. The top right one I placed a plastic bag over the wet watercolor to give it texture and different shades of brown. The bottom left one I sprinkled salt over the wet watercolors to create the look of a egg. The bottom middle one I used a couple different techniques. I sprayed rubbing alcohol over the wet watercolors as well as dabbed it with a paper towel to create different shades. The bottom right one I used a combinations of colors to create the dark red and then painted it on with a dry brush.
